Who you are buying from
Made for Tea is run by Made for Tea, Suffolk. You can reach us at hello@madefortea.co.uk.
Your order
When you place an order and pay, we email you a confirmation. That email is when our contract with you begins. Prices are in pounds sterling and include the printed board, the note card and tracked delivery. If we ever make a mistake with a price, we will contact you before anything is baked or printed.
Your message
We print your board and note card exactly as you typed them, line breaks included, so please read them back before you order. Every board is checked by hand, and if something looks like a slip we will email you before printing. We may decline a message that is offensive or uses someone else's logo or artwork without permission, and refund you in full if we do.
Delivery
We deliver to mainland Great Britain only. Boxes are packed and posted Monday to Friday, except bank holidays, and are due the day after posting. If you choose a delivery date, we post the day before it. Delivery dates are the carrier's target, not a guarantee. If a box is late, lost or arrives spoiled, tell us and we will put it right. Please make sure the address is complete; if a box cannot be delivered because the address was wrong, we will do what we can but may not be able to replace it free of charge.
Changing or cancelling
Every box is made to order with your own words, and it is fresh food, so the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28). If you need to change or cancel an order, email us as soon as you can. If we have not started printing or baking, we will change it or refund you.
If something is wrong
If anything arrives damaged, spoiled or is not what you ordered, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace it or refund you in full. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Allergens and food
Our allergen information is on the shop page and printed on every item. The scones and cookies are made in a kitchen that also handles nuts, soya and sesame. We bake and freeze the scones and cookies, and defrost them before packing, so please do not refreeze them. If you are sending a box as a gift, please pass on anything the recipient needs to know. Keep the clotted cream in the fridge once the box arrives.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts. If you have a complaint, email us first and we will do our best to sort it out.
